Our client is a leading, international freight and logistics organisation. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Import/Export Cartage Co-ordinator to join their Melbourne based team on a temporary basis.
To be successful you will ideally have 2 years of experience working within the International Logistics industry specifically in a Cartage Coordination capacity and possess in depth knowledge of import/export container movements and familiar with both Air and Seafreight.
If successful your daily duties will consist of:
- Liaising with internal/external stakeholders
- Pre planning transport
- Monitoring of Cargo and ensuring deadlines are met
- Preparation of Cartage documentation, Customs & AQIS
- Knowledge of Compliance with WHS standards
- Proving Excellent and Efficient Customer Service
- Organising daily pickups and deliveries from FCL, LCL, Airfreight Depots
- Invoicing and General Administrative duties
- Ensuring external government bodies compliance guidelines are met
- Any other duties as detailed by the management team
Preferred Selection Criteria;
- 2 years experience within the local forwarding industry
- Highly motivated with great organisation skills
- Excellent communication skills both written & verbal
- Intermediate/Advanced MS Office Skills
- Strong work ethic
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent Time Management Skills
- Experienced with WMS
- Experienced with loading & unloading containers
- Forklift licence
