Our client is currently seeking an experienced compiler / classifier to compliment their existing team. Your key function is to prepare customs clearance declarations for submission to customs in compliance with the regulatory provisions applicable in Australia and according to the customs services provided by the company. Duties will include: - Accurately compile/classify & value import and export products
- Accurately update systems databases with appropriate information
- Ensure shipments are cleared within specified timeframes
- Liaise professionally with customers, internal and external
- Respond to all queries in a timely manner
- Comply with Expeditors Code of Business Conduct & Expeditors
- Maintain and promote company culture at all times
Experience Required: - Minimum 1-2 years classifying experience in a freight forwarding company
- Idealy you will have started or be half way through your customs course
- A stable work history
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- A mature mind and the drive to succeed
- Intermediate computer skills
