If you are looking to build your global export experience within the Air Freight Forwarding Industry then this may be the job for YOU!Our client is a is wholesale freight forwarding company with over 24 offices around the globe and a strong agent network covering all ports.  Currently seeking a dedicated full-time Air Export Operator to join their friendly and supportive team in the Sydney branch .  The successful candidate must have flexibility to work on a weekend and public holiday roster. This position will be expected to support other departments as required in peak or holiday coverage.   Key Areas of Responsibility (Include but not limited to)Maintain a high level of communication with customers via email and telephoneProcessing of all quotes and bookings, register and close jobsAssist with customer calls to promote further business and build specific trade lanesLodgement of bookings with airlinesNegotiations with airlines on pricing space allocations and uplift.Qualifications and Licences:Clean Police record as we operate a Customs Bonded WarehouseCurrent DG and RACA Acceptance qualification (highly desirable or the willingness to obtain qualification)Previous Air Freight experience essentialSkills/Knowledge:Clear understanding of pallet sizes, weight restrictions and knowledge of weight balancing to anticipate daily volumes from pre-alerts.knowledge of freight forwarding operations in particular air freight (prefer but not essential)It is expected that much time and dedication will be required to successfully fulfill this position, so there is an expectation that overtime and weekend work may occur.Experience in buying and selling in order to maximise profit levels essential.Show understanding to customer problems and suggestions and provide alternative options to solutions.High integrity can be depended upon and is a team player.Knowledge in Excel computing software to understand spreadsheets.
