As the Business Development Executive for their Brisbane operations, you will report directly into the depot’s Logistics Manager and will be responsible for the building and development of relationships within the Queensland client base. Working along side other divisional managers and Business Development Executives in other states to assist in the increase of sales and profit margins within the existing and prospective client base. Other duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring prospective and current clients’ business opportunities is maximised
- Creating sustainable business growth across the QLD territory
- Assist other divisional managers in the account management of national contracts
- Identify opportunities for new client base
- Assist in / manage the tender process for new and existing client base, including presenting rates and services
- Attending to client enquiries and issues as and when required
- General administrative duties as and when required
To ensure your successful consideration in this role it is essential that you have previous Sales / Business Development experience within the transport and / or freight forwarding sector. Other selection criteria to address include:
- Knowledge of a variety of freight services including road, rail, air and sea
- Proven success in winning new business
- Ability to develop and build joint and effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to manage a successful sales portfolio
- Contract negotiation experience
- Excellent computer skills, including good knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM databases
