Import Sea Operator

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of import sea freight operations and customer service. Your key responsibilities include: Providing superior customer service to all clientsRegistering import sea freight shipmentsLodging sea cargo automationChasing relevant documentation from agents, suppliers and clientsTracking all shipments from start to endChecking transhipment details with shipping linesInvoicing clients To be successful in this role you will require the following:Import sea freight and customer service experienceHigh level communication skills – both verbal and written EDI Cargo Wise knowledge and experienceAbility to work autonomously and within a team environment  Proven track record in achieving KPI’sExperience in processing and completing client invoicesHigh level attention to detail This position will suit someone who thrives on meeting deadlines in a fast paced environment.   • Registering import sea freight shipments
  • Lodging sea cargo automation
  • Chasing relevant documentation from agents, suppliers and clients
  • Tracking all shipments from start to end
  • Checking transhipment details with shipping lines
  • Invoicing clients

To be successful in this role you will require the following:

  • Import sea freight and customer service experience
  • High level communication skills – both verbal and written 
  • EDI Cargo Wise knowledge and experience
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment  
  • Proven track record in achieving KPI’s
  • Experience in processing and completing client invoices
  • High level attention to detail
